Information provided directly
The site does not currently offer user accounts, public comments or profile creation. When a visitor sends an email, the message may contain a name, email address, company information and any other details the sender chooses to provide.
This information is used to respond to the request, investigate a correction, handle a privacy inquiry or manage a legitimate business communication.
Technical and server information
Hosting, security and content-delivery providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, referring page, timestamps and security events.
This information may be used to deliver the site, maintain reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and understand aggregate traffic.
Cookies, advertising and Google services
The site may display advertising through Google AdSense or related Google publisher services. When advertising is active, Google and other authorized vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to deliver, measure, limit repetition of and protect advertising.
Depending on the visitor's location and consent choices, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized. Google explains how it uses information from sites using its services at How Google uses information from partner sites .
Where required, a consent or privacy-choice mechanism should be presented before non-essential cookies or local storage are used. Browser settings may also allow visitors to delete or block cookies, although doing so can affect site or advertising functionality.
Analytics
The site may use privacy-conscious or third-party analytics to understand aggregate visits, popular pages, device categories and technical performance. Any analytics provider may process technical identifiers according to its own privacy terms and the configuration selected by the publisher.
Purposes and legal bases
Information may be processed to:
- provide, secure and maintain the website;
- respond to messages and correction requests;
- measure performance and improve content;
- prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- display and measure advertising where enabled; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Depending on the context, processing may rely on consent, performance of a requested service, compliance with law or legitimate interests such as security, publication management and responding to inquiries.
Sharing and service providers
Personal information may be processed by vendors that provide hosting, content delivery, security, email, analytics, advertising or technical support. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, needed to protect rights or security, or connected with a legitimate transfer of the website or business.
The Carrier Standard does not sell personal information for money. Advertising-related disclosures and opt-out choices will be provided where applicable law requires them.
Retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes or comply with law. Technical logs and advertising or analytics records are retained according to operational need and the relevant provider's settings and policies.
US State privacy rights
Depending on the visitor's State and whether a particular law applies, a person may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling.
